Welcome to Pup’s Care!

Before-school care that sets the tone for a Great Day
Our Pup’s Care program supports students from Orchard Center Elementary, Seth Woodard Elementary, and Millwood Kindergarten Center — offering families a safe, supportive, and enriching start to the day.

Every morning is intentionally designed to help kids feel grounded, confident, and ready to learn — because we believe the hours before the bell are just as important as what happens after it.

Where Every Day Begins with Purpose

Doors open at 7:00am
Gives families flexibility and kids a calm, structured start to their school day.

Runs only in the morning on school days
Pup’s Care follows the West Valley School District calendar. If school is closed for any reason (including weather or holiday’s), Pup’s Care will also be closed.
There is no after-school available at this time.

Transportation
Pup’s Care students are walked to the local bus stop each morning for pickup by a West Valley School District bus. Pickup is at 8:45 AM Monday through Thursday, and 9:45 AM on Fridays for late start.

Affordable Care
A $5.00 daily fee helps cover supplies and program costs. Scholarships are available.

Fuel for Growing Minds

Each morning, kids help prepare a light, nutritious breakfast — learning responsibility, building independence, and developing everyday life skills along the way.

After breakfast, they clean up together, promoting teamwork and a sense of ownership.

Homework Help & Quiet Focus

We offer gentle support with homework or reading, helping students start the day with confidence — and one less things for parents to juggle at night.

Creative Play & Connection

From crafts and games to exercise and group activities, kids explore their creativity and build friendships in a positive, caring environment.

A Safe Space That Feels Like Home

Pups care is more than supervision — it’s a warm and welcoming space filled with encouragement, kindness, and fun.

Pup’s Care is managed and supervised by staff and volunteers from Zion Lutheran Church, and local community members. There is no religious component to this program.
